STL: Alleged Witness Intimidation under Investigation

By

David Baragwanath - STL website

Following a hearing held on 25 April 2013, the STL has launched an investigation into “three incidents which could potentially be considered interference with the administration through publication of alleged witness identities.”

The decision was issued yesterday by Judge David Baragwanath, who is the acting Contempt Judge for April. Judge Baragwanath orded the Registrar to appoint an amicus curiae which shall be selected with the Judge’s approval. A decision about the scope as well as the timeline of the investigations will be issued at a later stage.

It was further ordered that the transcript of the hearing, which was partly held in close session, will be kept confidential at this point in time.
