The non-governmental organisation Amnesty International issued a report on Wednesday that indicates evidence of war crimes committed by Israel in August 2014. The war crimes are believed to be a reaction to the capturing of an Israeli soldier by political organisation and militant group Hamas. Researchers state that through scrutinising hundreds of photos, videos, satellite images and eyewitness testimony, it can be claimed that Israeli forces attacked whole areas of the city of Rafah in Gaza. The strikes on the city resulted in the deaths of 135 Palestinian civilians, with 75 children among them.
